Private wealth specialist Fraser Allister has been promoted to Managing Associate in Ogier's Cayman team.
Fraser, who has strong experience in trusts, wills and estates, family funds and foundation companies - and is qualified in both the Cayman Islands and BVI - has a particular focus on Latin American clients.
Ogier's head of Private Wealth in the Cayman Islands, Anthony Partridge, said: "Fraser has significant expertise in the intergenerational transfer of wealth, with particular emphasis on succession planning for family owned businesses. His strong background in both trust and tax matters means that he is well-placed to understand the technical issues involved in those transfers and his considerable experience of working with business owners allows him to understand and manage the wider issues and concerns that usually accompany these 'once-in-a-generation' transfers."
Clients have said that Fraser is "a hard-working and very driven professional private client lawyer" and "responsive and proactive and able to explain matters in straightforward terms". Fraser has been recognised by Private Client Global Elite as "one to watch" and has featured on the Citywealth Leaders List for a number of years.
Outside Ogier, Fraser is a dedicated mentor and coach on the annual Cayman Finance student mentoring programme.
