Global law firm Withers has hired Bryan H. Kelly as a partner in its Los Angeles office. Bryan's arrival continues the expansion of the LA office, which recently saw partners Charles Kolstad and Eva Wolf join with their team. Bryan is a private client and tax lawyer who joins Withers from Venable LLP.

Bryan's practice involves both corporate and personal tax advice on domestic and cross-border matters, working with multinational companies and successful families with complex interests. Bryan also represents sponsors and investors in connection with the formation and operation of private investment funds. Prior to his tenure at Venable, Bryan worked in the International Tax Services group at Ernst & Young and was in private legal practice in California and New York.

Michael Brophy, Managing Director of Withers' LA office, comments: "Bryan brings further breadth to our growing tax advisory capabilities in California. We now boast a four-strong tax team in LA alone with strong cross-border corporate and income tax experience. The team will work with colleagues in San Diego, San Francisco, Rancho Santa Fe, the East Coast and across Europe and Asia. As client demand for skilled tax advice continues to grow, we will continue to look at adding the best talent to the firm."

Bryan adds: "Moving to Withers is a great step forward for me and my practice. The firm's international reach and robust tax capabilities will be key to offering the right level of support on complex matters, and I'm very excited about the integrated suite of tax and other legal solutions that we're positioned to offer to clients."
