On 23 May 2019, Redcliffe Partners jointly with Clifford Chance conducted a conference: "Ukraine opens up for international finance! Recent trends in the LMA market and Ukraine". Hot issues in the lending market along with the challenges in the project finance became the focus of discussion subdivided into two sessions.

The first session involved expert presentations from a number of Clifford Chance experts and a representative from Citibank, moderated by Olexiy Soshenko, Head of Banking and Finance and Debt Restructuring at Redcliffe Partners. Alistair McGillivray, Finance Partner at Clifford Chance London, talked about LIBOR and Brexit in the context of his experience and recent European trends. Adrian Cohen, Debt Restructuring Partner at Clifford Chance London, continued discussion by raising the question of possible distress coupled with Brexit.

Dmytro Volokhov, Vice President at Citi, shared his viewpoint as to the recent developments in the Ukrainian finance market. Dmytro Orendarets, Senior Associate at Clifford Chance London, told the audience about the key aspects of what Ukrainian borrowers need to attract international financing using the example of a real estate financing.

The second session was held in discussion format, dedicated to the topic "Challenges in the project finance based on recent case studies in Ukraine, Poland, Turkey and other jurisdictions in the region". Jared Grubb, Managing Partner of the Clifford Chance's Istanbul office, Banking and Finance Partner, was the moderator of the discussion, and among the speakers there were Joel Baranowski, Senior Counsel at EBRD, Philipp Grushko, Founding Partner at SD Capital, Head of Business Development at TIS Group and MV Cargo, Rafal Zakrzewski, Banking and Finance Counsel at Clifford Chance Warsaw, and Olexiy Soshenko.
