2019 has just begun and KLA has disclosed several news. After the launch of its new brand, celebrating its 17-year anniversary, the firm nominates three new partners to boost the following areas: Tax, Capital Markets, Real Estate and Agribusiness.

José Flávio PachecoJosé Flávio Pacheco joined KLA as a trainee in 2004 and became a lawyer in 2007. He has built his entire career at KLA and after 15 years in the firm, he is the new partner of the tax department. His practice is focused in consulting, specially involving complex matters of customs, indirect taxes, logistical and business restructuring in general, as well as in the definition of strategies and in the conduction of tax proceedings, representing several clients all over the country. José Flávio also coordinates the area of international trade, representing clients on trade defense issues and tariff reductions. He has graduated from Mackenzie University as took specialization in tax law from the Brazilian Institute of Tax Studies (IBET). He has also joined the International Trade Training Program of the Brazilian Delegation to the World Trade Organization in Geneva.

Ricardo StuberRicardo Stuber has been working for 3 years at KLA and has more than 15 years of experience in his practice area. Ricardo Stuber leads the Capital Markets team and has extensive experience in securitization of receivables, structured transactions, debt securities issuance, structuring investment funds and advising issues related to capital markets regulation. Through the Real Estate Finance area, Ricardo has an active participation in the structuring of fund raising operations for the development of the real estate market. Ricardo Stuber has graduated from the Faculdade de Direito da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law from IE Law School (Madrid, Spain), with extension at Northwestern School of Law (Chicago, USA). He also holds a Certificate in Business Administration (CBA) from IE Business School (Madrid, Spain).

Tomaz MatheusTomaz Matheus has more than 12 years of experience in Real Estate, Agribusiness and Contract law. He has coordinated several negotiation and due diligences enabling the acquisition of more than 300,000 hectares of rural lands for clients and advising foreign entities to invest in rural properties. He has provided legal advice structuring several real estate developments of multiple use, logistics parks, hotels and touristic resorts, shopping centers and land parceling. Tomaz has graduated from Faculdade de Direito do Centro Universitário UniFMU, has a LL.M. from Christian Albrechts Universität (Kiel, Germany) and specialization in Real Estate Law from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV).

About the new brandKLA's new brand derives from a deep branding study which was able to translate the firm´s values and the way it services its clients into a new positioning. The launching of the new brand was done with the release of an institutional film that summarizes, in an innovative way, the new brand. A dynamic brand, modern in its structure and daring in its unfolding.
