Early Engagement and Academic Foundation
Hunter’s association with DEF began in May 2019 when he joined as a summer associate. This early exposure provided him with invaluable insights into the firm’s operations and culture. He earned his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law in 2020, following a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 2016.
Progression to Associate and Notable Contributions
After successfully passing the bar exam, Hunter commenced his role as a full-time associate at DEF in October 2020. Since then, he has been actively representing employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation claims across Georgia. Demonstrating a strong commitment to his clients, Hunter has taken and defended over 100 depositions, negotiated more than 100 claims to cost-effective resolutions, and argued appeals before both the Appellate Division of the State Board of Workers’ Compensation and the Superior Court.
