NEW YORK, May19, 2025 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, is pleased to welcome M&A partner Ellen Wheeler to its New York office. She brings deep experience in distressed M&A and will strengthen the Firm's work involving complex deals across private equity, M&A and special situations. Ellen is the third partner focused on distressed M&A to join Proskauer in the last six months, along with Robb Tretter and Jonathan Gill, who joined the Firm in November 2024.
Ellen focuses on advising public and private investors, corporations and financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, control and minority equity investments and corporate governance. She also specializes in general corporate matters involving companies with respect to distressed M&A and special situations, including credit bids and foreclosures.
Ellen's practice includes debt recapitalizations and restructurings, navigating in- and out‑of‑court recapitalizations and exchange transactions. Her work often involves high‑stake and large‑scale investments across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, real assets, hospitality and consumer goods.
