Nashville, Tenn., (April 22, 2025) – Bass, Berry & Sims is pleased to announce the addition of six new attorneys in its Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee, offices. In Nashville, the firm added Emmy M. Anderson, Molly Buchanan, Blake E. Creekmur, and Jordan T. Redler; in Memphis, associates Brian Garrott and Katy Presson joined. With these latest additions, Bass, Berry & Sims has welcomed 10 lateral attorneys since the start of 2025.

Emmy M. Anderson (Associate, Nashville) represents clients in complex business litigation and government investigations. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Anderson was an attorney at a firm in Atlanta. She earned a law degree from Vanderbilt Law School (2023) and an undergraduate degree from Emory University (2018).
Emmy Anderson is licensed to practice in Georgia. She is licensed in Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7 Sec. 10.07.
Molly Buchanan (Senior Corporate Attorney, Nashville) counsels private equity and venture capital clients on the structuring, marketing and management of various product offerings, including traditional funds, secondaries offerings, co-investment vehicles and transfers. She has experience advising funds throughout the entire life cycle, including the process of formation, capital raising, operation and maintenance, governance and regulation. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Buchanan was an associate at Cooley LLP in its Washington, D.C., office and with Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York and Washington, D.C. Buchanan earned a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center (2018) and an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University (2014). During law school, she externed at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York.
Molly Buchanan is licensed to practice in Florida, Washington, D.C. and New York. She is licensed in Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7 Sec. 10.07.
Blake E. Creekmur (Associate, Nashville) advises owners, contractors and subcontractors, and design professionals on various construction-related transactions, claims and disputes. His experience includes complex commercial litigation related to delays in construction, Prompt Pay Act issues and more. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Creekmur was an associate at the construction boutique law firm Smith Cashion & Orr, PLC. During law school, Creekmur was a judicial intern with Judge Steve R. Dozier of the Nashville Metropolitan Criminal Court. He also served as an intern with the office of U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander. Creekmur earned a law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law (2022) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee (2018).
Brian Garrott (Associate, Memphis) represents clients in complex commercial litigation and compliance and government investigations. His practice includes advising public and private companies across a variety of industries, including healthcare, finance, manufacturing and real estate, among others. Prior to joining the firm, Garrott was a litigation associate with Glassman, Wyatt, Tuttle & Cox, P.C. in Memphis and a corporate associate with Baker Botts L.L.P. in its Austin, Texas, office. Garrott earned a law degree from Duke University School of Law (2018) and a Bachelor of Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Mississippi (2013).
Katy Presson (Associate, Memphis) advises clients on compliance with SEC regulations, including reporting, disclosure requirements and corporate governance best practices. In this capacity, she collaborates closely with company leadership, in-house counsel and boards of directors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Presson was an associate at various law firms, including Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago and Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC in Memphis. Presson earned a law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law (2020) and an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2015).
Jordan T. Redler (Associate, Nashville) counsels investment funds through all stages of the fund’s life cycle, including with respect to formation, capital raising and operation of the fund. He has experience drafting operating agreements, private placement memoranda and subscription agreements for a variety of fund structures, including single investor funds and co-investment arrangements. Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Redler was an investment funds associate with Kirkland & Ellis LLP in its Houston office. He earned a law degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law (2022) and an undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (2019).
Jordan Redler is currently licensed to practice in Texas and is registered to practice in Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7 Sec. 10.07.
