We're in a year of structural change for European payment service providers, with the entry into force of the instant transfer regulation bringing substantial changes to the functioning of the payments system. Aware of the changes and their impact, on the morning of February 26th, we gathered a group of experts for the "Business Breakfast Navigating IPR: Verification of Payee".

With the help of our guests Hugo Mira, Deputy Director of Banco de Portugal, Paulo Barbosa, COO, Banfico, Paulo Almeida, Associate Partner, KPMG Portugal and André Abrantes, PLMJ Managing Associate.

Up for debate were the implications of new beneficiary verification obligations applicable to payment service providers in the euro area, among others.
