Over time, its focus has shifted to the in-depth analysis of wealth transfer, including its substantive requirements, tax implications, and the entities through which wealth is managed, such as trusts, foundations, and estates. The Academy also examines complex issues like preserving multinational family businesses, property rights in marriage and divorce, and the impact of international conventions, leveraging the expertise of its members, many of whom have served as advisors or delegates to global legal bodies.
