Former KordaMentha Partner, Alison Currie, has been appointed Chief of Staff for the Administrator appointed to the CFMEU. Her appointment into this role has as a result of the passing of The Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Amendment (Administration) Bill 2024 which amended the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 (Registered Organisations Act), to put the CFMEU under administration. Alison finished up with KordaMentha mid-August.

Alison will be working with the Administrator, Mark Irving KC who was appointed on 23 August 2024.

Alison has extensive experience in the public sector, combined with a deep passion for purposeful and impactful work, dealing with issues that are vital for the functioning of the economy. She has previously spent 15 years in the public sector at both a State and Federal level, advising senior leaders across Governments on fiscal strategy, financial sustainability and governance issues.
