As part of our ongoing maritime visits, members of the Maritime Practice earlier this week paid a courtesy visit to one of our longstanding clients, MSC, by visiting the MSC World Europa during one of her weekly visits to the Grand Harbour.
The 317.94 metres ship – the first LNG fuelled ship in the MSC Cruises fleet – has a passenger capacity of almost 7,000 and boasts a crew compliment of 1,700 crew members. Besides the groundbreaking modern design and myriad of on-board experiences offered to its guests, a unique feature of the vessel is an 11 deck high stainless steel dry slide.
Following a warm welcome by Commandante Stefano Battinelli,Ann Fenech, Head of our Marine Litigation Department, expressed our organisation's pridein having over the years assisted MSC not only with the registration of its impressive cruise line fleet under the Malta flag, but also with the cross section of legal services required by the diverse operations of an international enterprise ofthe stature of MSC.This covers specialised areas serviced by our various departments including Ship Finance, Marine Litigation, Corporate and M&A.
We wish to thank Commandante Battinelli, Staff Captain Jacopo Danilo Gargiulo, Hotel Director Mr Tonino Galano, Events Co-ordinator Ms Alexia Seconetti Secone and Financial Controller Mr Dario Grassi Alfonso, for welcoming our team and taking the time to explain the features of this extraordinary vessel.
