The Financial Times has shortlisted Foley Hoag LLP in
two categories for its 2024 Innovative Lawyers North America
Awards. The awards recognize law firms, in-house teams, and lawyers
who are developing and delivering new ways to serve clients and
drive positive change in the legal profession.
Foley Hoag was shortlisted for:
Innovative Practitioner – Christina
Hioureas. Hioureas founded and serves as Chair of Foley
Hoag’s United Nations Practice Group, a first-of-its-kind
practice tailored to the needs of States and other relevant
stakeholders on matters before the UN. Drawing on her commitment to
human rights, gender justice, as well as climate change and
sustainability issues, Hioureas advises sovereign States and other
relevant stakeholders on these issues and others before the UN and
before international courts and tribunals. She is also Global
Co-Chair of the Foley Hoag’s International Litigation &
Arbitration Department.
Innovation in People & Skills – Foley Hoag BD
Catalyst. The BD Catalyst is a year-long business
development initiative that transforms how associates and counsel
develop essential marketing and client development skills often
overlooked in traditional legal education. The initiative features
gamified activities intended to build essential client service and
networking tied to career development benchmarks with progress
tracked through a proprietary online portal. Through this
structured approach, BD Catalyst builds essential business
development skills while strengthening firm culture by fostering
connections between junior lawyers and experienced partners.
