On Thursday, 17th October, the Malta Maritime Law Association (MMLA) celebrated its 30th anniversary with a commemorative event at the Malta National Library. The gathering brought together key maritime industry professionals who have played an essential role in establishing MMLA as a leading forum and principal stakeholder in the Maltese shipping sector.
Matthew Attard, Partner in our shipping practice and current president of the MMLA, delivered the welcome address. Consultant Max Ganado, who has been instrumental in shaping the Merchant Shipping Act over the years, took part in a panel discussion exploring the evolution of Malta’s maritime legal framework over the past three decades.
Jan Rossi, Senior Associate in the Shipping team, attended as a member of the MMLA executive committee, while Nigel Vella Micallef, Associate in the Shipping team, served on the event’s organising committee.
