While Reflect Festival 2023 has successfully concluded, the buzz of excitement continues to linger! This year's event was a fusion of energy, information and captivating stories, reminding us that a world of possibilities exists through the power of technology and cutting-edge innovation. Our firm was a proud silver sponsor of this 6th Reflect Festival, perfectly aligning with and championing the ideals that this event embodies which is pushing the boundaries of what's possible for a more sustainable, digitally centric tomorrow.
An exhilarating program of interactive events, activities, and workshops, inspiring speakers, and in-depth panel discussions were spread across four main stages, that is The Carob Mill, Molos, the Old Port, and the Pier.
Complimenting this component of the festival was an exciting panel discussion on navigating the legal maze of AI by members of the Elias Neocleous & Co LLC (ENC) Tech Law department as well as the Director General of the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation Theodoros Loukaidis.
ENC's Managing Partner, Elias Neocleous, panel members Antonia Monogyiou, ENC Associate & Data Protection Officer; Fabian Cabeza, ENC Legal Consultant; and Mr. Loukaidis, discussed the legal and ethical intricacies stemming from the usage of artificial intelligence, delving specifically into elements of accountability, privacy, misinformation, and intellectual property. The panel addressed the relevant issue of AI falling into the wrong hands and the ethical dilemma this might pose. Additionally, they also explored the potential necessity for regulatory changes to accommodate the rapid expansion of AI.
