Our respected director Rick Basheer has been in the chartered accounting profession for over 20 years, having spent 12 years with a Big 4.

Rick provides tax and financial management advice to a wide range of clients, predominantly in the SME and family owned markets. He has also provided tax advice to several unlisted public companies and has prepared numerous feasibility studies, both on behalf of the South Australian Government and for private enterprises.

With a family background in the Hospitality Industry, Rick specialises in providing advice to this sector, particularly in the areas of food and beverage and gaming. He is also a proud supporter of the Australian Hotels Association (SA), attending and also speaking at various AHASA events.

Outside of work, Rick resides in Myrtle Bank with his wife Tania and their two children. He enjoys participating in and coaching sport, the latter particularly with his children's teams. Rick has therefore coached both basketball for his son Jake and soccer for his daughter Holly.

Prior to our annual sporting tournament changing to croquet, tennis was the sport of choice at Moore Stephens and Rick is well-known in the office as a competitive tennis player, having made it to the final in the last two years of our firm's tennis tournament. Rick also enjoys participating in events such as the City to Bay, being involved in the latter through his health club EFM.

Through his love of sport, Rick is unusually knowledgeable on the subject and is known in quiz circles as a sports trivia supremo!
