Marta Delgado Echevarría has been appointed the new Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day's Madrid Office.

Ms. Delgado Echevarría, a partner in Jones Day's Antitrust & Competition Law Practice, is the co-leader of the Madrid Office's antitrust team and leads the office's intellectual property team. She has worked at Jones Day for 22 years, during which time she has advised both domestic and international clients across many industries in all aspects of antitrust law, including M&A, cartels, abuse of a dominant position, distribution agreements, licensing, and unfair competition. She also represents Jones Day clients globally in competition-related arbitration matters, and also with copyright, trademarks, and patent rights matters.

She is a member of the Academic Council and Board of Professors of the Master's in European Union Law and the University Carlos III of Madrid. In addition to her work with Jones Day's Diversity, Inclusion & Advancement Committee, she has been Secretary General of the Professional Women's Network, an international Federation of Associations working to make progress in women's professional development. Ms. Delgado Echevarría has contributed to several published works and frequently writes and lectures on topics related to her practice.

Ms. Delgado Echevarría succeeds Mercedes Fernandez, who served as Partner-in-Charge of the Madrid Office since 2011, and will continue to serve clients as a partner in the Firm's Global Disputes Practice.
