The long-anticipated BVI International Arbitration Centre opened this month, providing arbitration services in multiple languages from within the British Virgin Islands.

The BVI International Arbitration Centre will offer four hearing rooms (the largest of which will be able to accommodate 200 people), six break-out rooms and two translation rooms. It will also offer, from the Arbitration Centre's list of over 150 arbitrators, qualified arbitrators from all around the world. Parties will also have the option of selecting their own arbitrators. The new centre will host arbitrations in a large number of languages, with the principle languages being English and Spanish.
