Hong Kong Strategy
Enterprises operating under the Foreign Investment Law which deal in foreign trade have to apply for exporter and importer registration at the Ministry of Trade giving particulars relating to the applicant and the commodities to be traded. The fee payable for registration as an exporter is K.2,500 and annual renewal fee is K.1,000. Similarly, registration fees for different categories of imports and for each line of import business are charged at rates of K10,000 or K5,000 depending on the nature of the business.
