According to the amendment, exporters and importers will be obliged to pay contributions prior to releasing goods for export or into free circulation and to prove the payment at customs declaration. This should avoid problems with payments of contributions and subsequent difficulties with claims.
Imports and exports not exceeding 100.000 Sk by small and medium sized enterprises per day based on one customs declaration are exempt from contributions.
One of the advantages for enterprises is an increase of limit for the exhibition cost recovery to 50% and for small enterprises by as much as 75% of total costs.
