The SR government has adopted principles of a legal proposal of the National Council of the Slovak Republic on the protection against excess imports.

Where goods are imported to the Slovak Republic which are of a similar type to those which are produced locally, this may be harmful to the Slovak producer or the industry.

These principles regulate the conditions under which it is possible to place restrictions on the amount of such foreign produced goods which may be imported.
