November 20, 2017 – Manitoba immigration officials have introduced an extensive new list of In-Demand Occupations as part of an overhaul of its Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

The new occupations fall under nine main categories. For a full list including National Occupation Classification codes and language requirements, see below.

The nine broad categories are:

  1. Business, Finance and Administration
  2. Natural and Applied Sciences and Related
  3. Health
  4. Social Science, Education, Government Service and Religion
  5. Art, Culture, Recreation and Sport
  6. Sales and Service
  7. Trades, Transport and Equipment Operators and Related
  8. Unique to Primary Industry
  9. Unique to Processing, Manufacturing and Utilities

The occupations will be targeted under the four renewed streams of the MPNP. They are the totally new International Education Stream, a renamed and repurposed Business Investor Stream, plus the tweaked Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream and Skilled Worker Overseas Stream.
