There is no standard grain contract in Saskatchewan. While the Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan has recently called for a standard grain contract, production contracts remain the terms agreed to by the grain buyer and producer in each case. Production contracts, unlike purchase contracts, involve more considerations than a purchase contract since production contracts address not only purchase and sale but also production of the commodity.
