Bringing together over 5,000 musicians including high school students plus global artists, Generations in Jazz is a unique gathering of Australia's most talented musicians, set against the picturesque backdrop of Mt Gambier on South Australia's Limestone Coast.

This annual, three-day jam session not only provides a stage for performers, but with a combination of clinics, concerts and scholarships on offer, it also represents an opportunity for our young stars of tomorrow to learn, share, listen and play an active role in furthering jazz in Australia and beyond.

High School students from more than 125 schools across Australia will make their way to Mt Gambier to compete in the Stage Band Awards while individual Jazz and Vocal Scholarships are highly coveted. With daily concerts and award ceremonies at venues including the James Morrison Big Top Pavilion (seating over 6,000 people in the middle of a paddock!), the public will have a front row seat to see the next generation of jazz musicians along with their favourite legends of the industry.

This year's event from Thursday, 3 May to Sunday, 6 May, will be showcasing a host of celebrated local, national and international artists including The Cat Empire, James Morrison, Patti Austin and Shannon Barnett.

KordaMentha Partner Mark Mentha is a proud supporter of Generations in Jazz and is Chair of the Generations in Jazz Board. Join Mark and thousands of other festival goers in May at Generations in Jazz.
