We are pleased to welcome Michael D. Maline as a Member in the firm's Life Sciences Securities & Capital Markets Practice.

Michael is a leading corporate attorney with significant experience representing global investment banks, issuers, and investors in public and private capital markets transactions. He joins us in our New York office, where he focuses his practice on cross-border offerings for foreign issuers selling securities into the United States as well as offerings for US companies.

Michael advises clients in the life sciences and a variety of other industries — from technology and other growth sectors to media and consumer products — in initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, private placements of equity and debt securities, and additional transactions. Clients rely on his deep understanding of alternative financing deals to guide them as they navigate confidentially marketed public offerings (CMPOs), bought deals, registered direct offerings (RDs), private investments in public equity (PIPEs), special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs), and at-the-market offerings (ATMs).

Michael also regularly advises clients on corporate and securities compliance and reporting matters.

Michael earned his JD, magna cum laude, from Tulane Law School, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif. He holds a BA from The Johns Hopkins University.
