Mintz recently announced that the firm created a compassionate leave policy for attorneys and professional staff who may need to take time away from work for non-medical reasons. The expanded policy offers paid time off for events beyond the death of an employee's immediate family member, including in the event of an employee's miscarriage or after a failed surrogacy, adoption, or fertility treatment.

Since the announcement, we have received many questions about considerations in enacting such policies, such as the impact on employee recruitment and retention, and the focus on employee well-being at work.

To discuss these topics and others, we are pleased to invite you to a conversation with Bob Bodian, Mintz's Managing Member, Heather Kelly, Mintz's Chief Talent Officer, Geri Haight, Member in Mintz's Employment, Labor & Benefits Practice and Chair of the Women's Initiative, and Natalie Groot, Associate in Mintz's Employment, Labor & Benefits Practice.

We hope you'll join us as we discuss the expanded compassionate leave policy and share best practices for putting such policies into action.
