Carey Olsen Guernsey managing partner Russell Clark has been recognised as a key player in the UK and offshore private client sector by eprivateclient in its annual 50 Most Influential list.

It is the third year in a row that Russell has been named on the list, and he remains the only Guernsey-based lawyer to be included.

Russell, who heads up the trusts and private wealth practice for Carey Olsen in Guernsey, specialises in both contentious and non-contentious trust matters and advising private clients on succession, estate planning and family governance.

Described as the definitive rankings of the key players in the UK and offshore private client sector, practitioners listed in the 2022 edition have been chosen by judges from PAM Insight, publishers of eprivateclient, based upon any and all achievements, promotions and progress that they have made over the past 12 months.

Russell said: "I am very flattered to have been named as one of the top advisers in the UK and offshore private client sector, although I am confident that my inclusion on this list by the (very kind) team at eprivateclient is as a result of the high regard in which all of my colleagues in the trust and private client team at Carey Olsen are held by clients and referrers, and the calibre and quality of our offering in the Bailiwick."

This is the latest in a series of industry accolades for Russell and the firm's global trusts and private wealth practice, which includes Russell  being recognised in both the 2022 edition of the Spear's 500 private client guide and the 2021 edition of  Who's Who Legal: Private Client.

From a firm perspective over the past 12 months, Carey Olsen's global trusts and private wealth practice has been named best offshore law firm at both the 2021 eprivateclient Excellence Awards  and WealthBriefing European Awards, and maintained its position as the leading offshore law firm in the Chambers and Partners High Net Worth rankings.
