Part 5: Wage and Hour Compensation Challenges Post-2020

Partner Tina Tellado and Associate Sara Schretenthaler Staha provided an overview of how wage and hour compliance issues have changed or been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as well as changes that are expected going forward. They discussed changes to Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations and updates to white collar exemptions, monitoring for unreported overtime work in a remote environment and looking for red flags, and evaluating incentive, hazard or bonus payments for nonexempt employees under the FLSA.
