SAN FRANCISCO, November 17, 2021 — Arnold & Porter announced today that Katie (Katherine) Pettibone has joined the firm's Legislative & Public Policy Practice Group as Policy Advisor in Sacramento.

Ms. Pettibone brings more than a decade of experience focusing on the public policy interests of clients in the banking, insurance, legal reform, and healthcare and life sciences sectors. She has extensive experience strategically advising on complex matters in the life sciences sector and has represented several high-profile life sciences companies throughout her career. Ms. Pettibone regularly handles matters for clients before the California legislature, Governor's office, and administrative agencies. Throughout her career, Ms. Pettibone has served as the American Insurance Association's Vice President of State Affairs for the Western Region, as Director of Legislation for the Civil Justice Association of California, and as Senior Legislative Analyst at the Governor's Office of Planning and Research.

Ms. Pettibone earned her JD from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law and received her BS from the University of Miami. An America's Cup and Around the World race veteran, Ms. Pettibone continues to race sailboats and mentor young women entering the sport.
