Claire Castles, a partner in Jones Day's Health Care & Life Sciences Practice, has been named to the Daily Journal's list of "Top Health Care Lawyers" in California for 2021.

Ms. Castles, who is based in Jones Day's Los Angeles Office, was selected for her work on complex regulatory compliance, reimbursement and licensure issues affecting clients in the health care industry, and for her successes on behalf of clients facing unprecedented challenges during the COVID-19 public health emergency. She has played an important role during this period, helping clients advance groundbreaking redesign of health care delivery models and challenge regulatory interpretations standing in the way of innovation.

Ms. Castles advises clients on complex and international health care and life science regulatory compliance issues in care redesign waivers, transactions, investigations, litigation, and regulatory enforcement matters. For example, she assisted clients in obtaining first-of-its-kind "hospital without walls" waivers from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Ms. Castles is a voting member of the National Native American Bar Association and Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
