New York, Sept. 17, 2021 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today welcomed Daniel Paulos as a partner in the Firm's Tax Department, based in New York.

"Dan brings a broad skill set that will allow him to work as a strategic partner in assisting clients as part of our growing practice," said partner Ira Bogner, Chairman of the Firm's Tax Department. "His wide-ranging background will allow us to service the expanding needs of both our private funds and transactional tax practices. We are thrilled to welcome him to Proskauer."

Dan has extensive experience advising asset managers and investors – specifically hedge fund and credit fund managers – on an expansive range of U.S. tax matters. He counsels asset managers on the U.S. and international tax implications of fund formation and fund investments.

"Dan is a leading expert on credit fund structures whose vast experience working with credit, private equity, real estate and infrastructure funds will make him a critical asset when it comes to advising throughout the fund lifecycle – from formation to wind down," said Steven M. Ellis, Chairman of Proskauer. "His experience will help us continue to expand our Tax Department as we serve as key asset managers on U.S. and UK tax matters."

Dan brings with him decades of experience having worked with some of the largest firms in the credit space and has experience advising clients on transactional tax matters such as in the context of mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and bankruptcies.

He joins Proskauer from KPMG. Dan is the second partner this month to join the Firm's Tax Department. At the beginning of September, Proskauer welcomed tax partner David Teigman.

"I am excited to join and look forward to working with such a dynamic group of lawyers to provide strategic counsel to our clients globally," said Dan Paulos.

Dan attended Yale University where he received his Bachelor's Degree and Brown University where he received a Master's Degree. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
