Walkers is pleased to announce that its Bermuda and Cayman
Islands offices have been recognised at the IFLR America Awards
2021 for their roles in the Restructuring Deal of the Year:
McDermott International.
Walkers Cayman and Bermuda offices advised McDermott International
group on all Cayman and Bermudan law aspects of its 2020
restructuring including advising on: (i) finance and security
issues related to the US$2.81 billion debtor-in-possession
financing facility that closed in January 2020; (ii) certain
insolvency and restructuring matters in connection with the entry
into US Chapter 11 proceedings; and (iii) corporate restructurings
undertaken as part of its exit from the US Chapter 11 proceedings.
Walkers also advised on certain finance and security matters on its
emergence from the US Chapter 11 proceedings in June 2020.
