LONDON, March 17, 2021 – Proskauer, a leading international law firm, today announced that it has advised Responsible Life and Responsible Lending (the Responsible Group), a UK-based broker and lender in the equity release business, in the sale of a 30% stake in the business to Royal London.

The acquisition, subject to FCA approval, will allow Responsible Group to boost its later life lending proposition and enables Royal London to participate directly in the rapidly growing equity release sector - one of the fastest growing markets in financial services.

The Proskauer team was led by Andrew Wingfield and included Jenny Bowe, Thomas Wood, Jacky Ball (Corporate), and Stephen Pevsner and Richard Miller (Tax).
