Product Liability Litigation partner Sheila S. Boston received a "Her Hero Lifetime Achievement Award" from the New York City Bar Association's United Nations Committee and African Affairs Committee in conjunction with Huntington National Bank for her groundbreaking work on behalf of women and gender equity. The accolade annually honors women working in the law or nonprofits who have "dedicated their professional lives and careers to the advancement of women and girls."

Boston received the award during the City Bar's second annual International Law Conference on the Status of Women, which was held to commemorate International Women's Day on March 8, 2021. Boston, who was installed as the president of the New York City Bar Association last year and is the first woman of color to serve as the organization's president, opened the Conference's proceedings by recounting the City Bar's extensive work in supporting the rights of women. In addition to emphasizing diversity, equity and inclusion as one of her Presidency's central pillars, Boston highlighted her recently-launched Presidential programming series titled "Raising the Bar of Hope" that focuses on the challenges, contributions and achievements of Black women and girls. The conference's subsequent programming discussed legal and policy issues confronting women around the world.
