Already before the COVID-19 pandemic, clients decided to follow the path of virtual annual general meetings, which is a great way to increase attendance, create a better experience for attendees and lower costs for the company. The pandemic has made this virtual environment a reality for a majority of businesses, which have now first practical experiences with such venues.

To (efficiently) organise this year's AGM season, Arendt cordially invites you to a lively panel discussion covering the legal, technical and practical aspects and challenges of virtual AGMs.

Our experts François Warken, Capital Markets Partner and Yann Fihey, Partner within Arendt Regulatory Consulting, along with special guest speakers Markus Laue, Senior Advisor at Link Market Services, and Edouard De Fierlant, Company Secretary at RTL Group, will guide you through the legal, business and technical solutions about virtual AGMs, while focusing on practical examples and customers experience.

The session will be moderated by Carsten Opitz, Partner within our Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions practice and Head of Arendt's Corporate Governance Centre (corpgov@arendt.com).

The webinar will in particular cover the following issues:

- Key legal, functional and technical considerations for a virtual AGM

- Major legal and practical challenges and issues for the various stakeholders

- Best practices & focus on attendee experience

- Outlook on expected future trends post COVID

The interactive session will answer questions from participants and allow drawing out key and handy takeaways.
