It is with great pleasure that we announce five new partners of Cox & Palmer: Simon-Pierre Godbout (Moncton), James Green (Halifax), Jonathan Hooper, TEP (Halifax), Adam King (Fredericton), and Andrea Pierce (Halifax).

Simon-Pierre practices in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring and has experience advising creditors and debtors in bankruptcy, receivership and CCAA proceedings. In addition, Simon-Pierre maintains a commercial litigation practice and routinely acts on behalf of individuals, corporations, financial institutions and private lenders in complex commercial disputes, contractual claims, real estate and property disputes and collection and enforcement proceedings.

James specializes in employment and labour law, offering strategic advice to businesses on all matters of workplace issues. James represents both unionized and non-unionized employers, and has successfully advocated for his clients before various courts, grievance arbitrators, human rights and employment standards tribunals.

Jonathan specializes in estate law, advising individuals and business owners to prepare estate plans, as well as advising executors and beneficiaries in complex probate and estate administration matters. Jonathan also represents commercial, construction and insurance litigation clients at all levels of court.

Adam's practice consists of corporate and commercial law (including incorporations of both for-profit and not-for-profit companies, corporate re-organizations, buying/selling businesses and assets, shareholder agreements, commercial debt financings, and private equity financings), wills and estates (including both estate planning and estate administration), and property law.

Andrea practices health law and family law, working with our clients to reach solutions. She also advises on commercial law matters. In 2016, Andrea completed a judicial clerkship with the Nova Scotia Supreme Court providing her with a deeper knowledge of the internal processes of our judiciary.
