2020 has been an experiment in mindfulness. At the end of a year in which the entire world hit "pause," the advisors and staff at Lawyers Financial reflect on what we've learned, what we're grateful for and what we're looking forward to.

Jackie Porter, Advisor - Ontario

2020 has truly been a teachable moment. Learning to be still and to take time to observe is essential for clarity. I am looking forward to celebrating my 50th birthday in 2021 even though I will be 51 by that time. All the sweeter since I get to extend the festivities.

Dustin Serviss, Advisor - British Columbia

I love teaching webinars, and I'm looking forward to helping more people to live their life NOW, yet be responsible for their future. I'm grateful for my slippers (my home office is in the basement – brrr).

Reem El-Mousfi, Client Experience Specialist

What I learned in 2020 was how we as humans can adjust so quickly. I'm looking forward to the day I can get on a plane and go anywhere!

Esther Linetsky, Director Business Development

I'm grateful for the technology that allows me to maintain contact with friends and family. What I'm looking forward to is the return of live events.

Anna Barbaro, Client Experience Associate

What I learned in 2020 is that human interaction is precious, and not to be taken for granted. I'm looking forward to meeting with friends and family again.

Jim Britton, Advisor - Saskatchewan

This has been a roller-coaster year. I have witnessed resilience and chaos while we make our way to the vaccine, but when we move to our new normal it will be great!

Hughie Shea, Advisor – Newfoundland

I learned we can adapt and succeed. The most important lesson from 2020: it's all about family and health. That's the real everything.
