Broadley Rees Hogan is pleased to announce that employment lawyer and human resources practitioner Sarah Lock has joined the firm as Special Counsel in our Employment and Work Health & Safety team.

With over 19 years of legal experience, practising predominantly in workplace and employment law, Sarah draws upon first-hand knowledge and experience working in both public and private sector enterprises to provide advice and support to small and medium size businesses.

Sarah's practical experience working both in private practice and various roles within government departments and large companies, including the Department of Corrective Services, Department of State Development, Queensland Newspapers, Queensland Alumina, Rio Tinto, Mining and Resources Employer Associations, has developed her insightful appreciation of the issues concerning her clients and has established her reputation for assisting both employers and employees in obtaining successful outcomes.

In addition to Sarah's employment law experience, Sarah is also a qualified HR practitioner with a business degree in Human Resources Management.

Sarah takes a proactive approach in assisting businesses to grow by identifying issues and providing guidance on more difficult aspects of employee management issues. Sarah has an interest in and extensive experience managing grievance and disciplinary processes.

Sarah will work closely with our clients to ensure your businesses are compliant in all aspects of workplace and HR legislation, minimising risk and liability and improving staff culture and systems for your peace of mind.
