Taking part in the 2019 Association of National Advertisers/Brand Activation Association Marketing Law Conference in San Diego was Ben Mulcahy, co-head of DLA Piper's Advertising practice. Ben led the breakout session, "Original Content Is King," which looked at the key issues in development and production of original content, including the content choices available through digital media studios and providers.
This annual event is regarded as one of the foremost legal and practical marketing and advertising law conferences. This year, it featured more than 160 speakers; the keynote was delivered by FTC commissioner Noah Joshua Phillips. Following day two of the conference, and in keeping with tradition, Gina Reif Ilardi, co-head of our Advertising practice, joined Ben to host a private dinner with key clients.
