Campbells is pleased to announce that Demi McLean was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands last week.

Demi qualifies as an associate in the Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring Group and is developing a broad-based practice specialising in civil, commercial and insolvency litigation. Demi also advises on family law matters with a focus in contentious ancillary relief proceedings in high net worth matrimonial cases. When asked about how she feels about her new role Demi says: "It is a proud moment in my life to be admitted as an attorney of the Cayman Islands following several years of hard work and perseverance, traits which I will continue to apply as my career progresses. I am delighted to be joining Campbells' top tier Litigation, Insolvency & Restructuring team as an associate where I will work with and learn from some of the best attorneys on island. I am determined to achieve my potential."

Demi joined Campbells in January 2018 when she commenced her Articles of Clerkship. In addition to her training at Campbells, Demi completed a secondment as a Judicial Clerk in the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands and a secondment with a leading commercial and chancery chambers in the UK where she gained experience of cases spanning a wide range of legal areas.

Demi is a graduate of the BPP University in Manchester where she was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (with Distinction). Driven by a desire to resolve conflict, Demi has always had a passion for law and this was ignited through the debate team in high school. Originally from Cayman Brac, Demi says: "I would not be where I am today without the support of my family and close friends who have given me help and encouragement throughout my educational endeavours."
