Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP is pleased to announce Stacey J. Rappaport has been elected to the firm's Executive Committee, effective July 12, 2018. Ms. Rappaport succeeds partner Marc Hanrahan, and will join Chairman Scott A. Edelman and partners Dennis Dunne, Marcelo Mottesi and David Zemans on the five-member Committee.

Ms. Rappaport joined Milbank in 1996 and was elected partner in 2004. She has served on a number of committees including as a two-term elected member of the Compensation Committee. She is also a founding member of the firm's Women's Initiative Committee, which she chaired for five years. Ms. Rappaport is a member of the Pro Bono Committee and previously served on the Associate Life, Diversity, and Nominating Committees.

A partner in the firm's Litigation & Arbitration Group, Ms. Rappaport has a track record of success in complex financial transaction cases involving commercial disputes, mergers and acquisitions, and securities. Known for exceptional client service, versatility, and attention to detail, she represents some of the nation's most distinguished corporations and financial institutions. Currently, she is leading the defense of major insurance companies in cost of insurance adjustment class action litigation.

Ms. Rappaport received her law degree from Fordham Law School cum laude and her B.S. from Cornell University. She served as a law clerk to Hon. Loretta A. Preska in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York (1999-2000). Ms. Rappaport serves on the boards of three non-profit organizations: Sanctuary for Families, Inc. (New York's leading service provider to victims of gender-related violence), Lincoln Square Legal Services, Inc. (Fordham Law School's student law clinic), and the Center for WorkLife Law at University of California at Hastings (a leading research and advocacy organization for the advancement of gender equality in the workplace). She previously served on the Board of the New York County Lawyer's Association and as co-chair of the Women Partners Subcommittee of the Committee on Women in the Legal Profession of the New York City Bar Association.
