Dear Sue

May 2023 will see the fifth anniversary of the coming into force of the GDPR. While data protection and privacy law is continuously evolving, developments over the past twelve months in particular have to led an increased focus on, and understanding of, enforcement matters and the approaches to enforcement taken by the supervisory authorities, the EDPB and the courts under the GDPR. Our theme for this year's annual "World Data Protection Day" briefing, "Enforcement Trends: Evolution and Revolution?" is reflective of this.

Please join us on Thursday, 26 January 2023 at 10:00 am (GMT) at our hybrid event, when we will discuss the enforcement trends and developments since GDPR was introduced, as well as review the key data protection and privacy issues which emerged during 2022.

We are honoured to be joined by Dale Sunderland, Director and Deputy Commissioner, Data Protection Commission, who has kindly agreed to share some of his insights and the 2023 priorities for the Data Protection Commission.

We hope you will join us for what promises to be an insightful and engaging event.
