We have provided written evidence to the parliamentary committee that is scrutinising the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill.

After Brexit, the UK's transition out of the EU was eased by the retention of a "snap shot" of applicable EU in force in the UK on 31 December 2020, known as retained EU law. The new Retained EU law (Revocation and Reform) Bill aims to dramatically speed up the process of removing and replacing these retained EU laws. The Bill includes a sunset provision under which much employment law will disappear unless deliberately saved or replaced. We've written about theimpact on employment law hereand thespecific impact in Northern Ireland here.

The Bill is currently going through parliament and is under detailed consideration by a parliamentary committee. We have submitted written evidence to the committee, which you canread further here.
