The President of Poland signed the amendment to the
Pharmaceutical Law which fundamentally modifies rules of granting a
pharmacy license. In recent days media speculated that the
President would veto the legislation.
The act in particular provides that a pharmacy license will not
be granted if a municipality has less than 3.000 inhabitants for
one pharmacy or if there is another pharmacy built in a distance
less than 500 meters measured in a straight line.
The act will come into force 30 days after its publication in
the Journal of Laws.
The Act is available under the following link - http://orka.sejm.gov.pl/opinie8.nsf/nazwa/1126_u/$file/1126_u.pdf
