The Chamber of Deputies' Commission of Labor Legislation ruled a series of reforms to the Labor Contract Law, the National Employment Law and the Educational Internships Law.

Without previous debate, the Chamber of Deputies' Commission of Labor Legislation has passed a series of amendments mostly on the Labor Contract Law, the National Employment Law and the Educational Internships Law.

The main modifications are the following:

  • Labor Contract Law
    1. Section 15 on transactional, conciliatory or release agreements.
    2. Section 55 on the omission of displaying the labor books.
    3. Section 218 on suspensions decided by the employer.
    4. Section 241 on judicial approval of the termination of the contract by mutual agreement.
    5. Section 264 on the non-waiver of labor privileges.
  • National Employment Law
    1. Modifications regarding the inclusion of agricultural, housekeeping and public sector employees in the unemployment fund.
    2. Modifications on the amount of unemployment benefit, and this will amount to one minimum monthly wage.
  • Educational Law Internship

Section 21 of Law No. 26,427, has been modified to promote the inclusion of students with disabilities within the quota of trainees that companies and government agencies must admit.
