The JPO is extending its Patent Prosecution Highway programs for
accelerated examinations of patent applications allowed in the
Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO) and Intellectual Property Office of
the Philippines (IPOPHL), both into early 2021.
The EAPO provides patent prosecution services for many former
Soviet republics (including the Russian Federation, Republic of
Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, and Republic of Armenia) across
northern and central Asia and into Europe.
The opportunities for inventors and applicants in many countries
will be continued through the PPH extensions, and hopefully
encourage good mutual investment.
