("DDPA") issued a press release (source document in Dutch)
stating that an order subject to penalty had been imposed on Wi-Fi
tracker Bluetrace. The company provides Wi-Fi tracking technology
that collects the media access control addresses of the devices of
shop visitors via Wi-Fi signals. Although Bluetrace implemented a
privacy policy, the DPPA found the policy violated the Dutch Data
Protection Act.
