On March 9, the DDPA and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission
signed a Memorandum of Understanding to improve
information-sharing and enforcement cooperation on privacy and data
security matters. In addition to describing the Agreement's
objective of mutual assistance in enforcing certain "Covered
Privacy Violations," the Agreement sets forth guidelines for
handling and storing shared information.
