The new of counsel is Vice-president of the Institute of Corporate Lawyers

The law firm PLMJ is pleased to announce the arrival of Pedro Vale Gonçalves as an of counsel lawyer to the firm's intellectual property practice. With broad experience in the pharmaceutical area, the new of counsel will provide support to the intellectual property, competition law and life sciences teams. 

Pedro Vale Gonçalves' career has spanned almost 25 years. He was a legal director and member of the management team at Pfizer Portugal and frequently speaks at domestic and international conferences on topics related to intellectual property, arbitration, international disputes, corporate law and commercial strategy. At the same time, he has authored a number of articles for specialist reviews and books.   

In 2009 he was named "General Counsel of the Year" and in 2010 he was on the shortlist for the "International Law Office European Counsel Awards" for his work in intellectual property.

Pedro Vale Gonçalves is also vice-president of the Institute of Corporate Lawyers and a member of the European Association of Corporate Lawyers, vice-president of the Board of the General Meeting of Special Olympics Portugal and curator of Fundação Liga.
