From now on citizens of Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE will be able to obtain visas to the Ukraine without a written invitation.

The respective Resolution # 482 of 23 September 2014 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine came into force on 07 October 2014.

According to the Resolution, citizens of the above mentioned countries will be able to obtain short-term visas (C type visa) without providing a written invitation from a hosting country (from the Ukrainian side in the given case).

Moreover, citizens of the UAE who arrive to Ukraine for tourism purposes will have the opportunity to get a visa valid for 15 days directly from Kyiv Boryspil Airport, Odessa Airport and Odessa Commercial Sea Port. It is also important to note that in order to become a holder of such a visa, citizens of UAE should provide supporting documents confirming the touristic nature of their trip to Ukraine.

The implementation of this resolution aims to the adaptation of migration and visa policies of Ukraine to the EU standards as well as the improvement of effective activities of the Ukrainian state authorities in the spheres of combating illegal migration.
