Effective October 23, 2019, OFAC withdrew U.S. sanctions on Turkey following Turkey's agreement to pause military operations in northeastern Syria.

On October 14, 2019, OFAC designated the Ministries of National Defense and Energy and Natural Resources of the Turkish Government, as well as three senior Turkish government officials, in response to Turkey's military offensive in northeastern Syria. Those sanctions are now lifted.
